The Winter Freestyle Contest is an event organized by Backspin, a crew led by Plamek.
WFC is organized in Rabka-Zdrój in southern Poland, and it's really close to Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria. Visit the website for more info!
I know Hspin no longer have a team, and Plamek have joined One Drop which is also a great team!
and usually I wouldn't post about stuff like that, yoyo logo?
but i personally really like Plamek's style of play, and I really like the Phoenix, and I think it look cool, the yoyo, the logo etc, and i was googling about, and i came across this, the original sketch to the Phoenix logo, so I thought I'll share!
its by this Polish mad cartoonist who call himself CrazyDraftMan. he also design some Hspin Tees!
so, yea, some people might be interested in these stuff, so enjoy!
i really love this yoyo! first of all, i want to say, at least to me, it does not feel like a Hspin yoyo.
more pictures first....
Phoenix is Grzegorz Wójcik aka Plamek's signature yoyo from Hspin.
Plamek is known for his smoothness in delivering combos, slacks and whips.
after years of playing, Plamek finally have his own signature yoyo!
i'm glad to share that Plamek sent me one to try. some of you have tried it, most didn't because i wasn't able to go to meetings lately.
this thing is real real smooth and very stable spin. no vibes. i don't know the exact measurement of the bearing, Plamek told me its not a common size? i forgot more to which country's measurement, but i tried putting on a CT bearing, it vibes. the original flat bearing however, works wonder, smooth like butter. that being said, if you're looking to install a KK, i can't promise it'll work, but i remember Plamek saying he was gonna send it to me with KK, but because he doesn't want to delay the sending so it came without it. Response wise... i siliconed it myself as it didn't come with response, i don't think Hspin produces pad for this, but i heard they might be making a 2nd run, which may have some changes in the pad area.
the size's about an 888, i would say it feels almost like a 888, but after playing for long, maybe not, but not in a bad way, it just feel different already but its really friggin nice!
and it's beautiful! it grinds, its undersized, it handles everything i threw at it. and everything WeiXuan threw at it, just watch the video!
lacerations are no problem, haven't tried horizontal tricks and IRGs, but i guess IRG wouldn't be a problem!i would say this yoyo is a yoyo you can't miss if you're a Hspin user, and if you aren't, try it, i haven't tried ALL Hspin but of all the ones i've tried, i would say this doesn't feels like just any Hspin!
its his signature series yoyo from Hspin, the Phoenix! after months, he finally got a prototype without engraving, imagine how badass it'll be after engraving.
i can't say much about how i feel just by seeing this angle of the yoyo, but i believe Plamek's yoyo would be badass? see sideview here.
if you still do not know who's Plamek, here's a picture.
here are some of his past videos before and after he go into Hspin:
