Jazz-Yo Concept.
so I got few of these as gift from Gediao himself, and here's more information about them.
the first thing that came to my mind when I see the actual yoyo itself, a SPYY PURE. the shape is similar, the the flat hub/cap design.

so the Concept was mentioned earlier in another entry here. Aluminum rim/caps on a Teflon body. This yoyo have a pretty unique method of assembling the pieces together.
first thing you may want to know is that, these are the first batch of Concepts, and these, according to Gediao, won't make it internationally. But I've seen it in Taiwan, so I'm thinking just the chinese market for the time being? He did said only to the chinese market for the first batch, but I mean maybe like, Chinese country like Taiwan, HongKong, and of course China. But there will be a 2nd batch for the international market, and its gonna be improved, and there might be a 24K gold edition of it.
so I mentioned improvements, what's there to improve?
I tried, I gave my feedbacks and mentioned what I though could be changed.
more photos first.

so the stock one came with a silicone ring pad that has a less grippy surface, and it slips, pretty much all the time. A little similar to Adegle's PSG's initial response problem, but this gap wasn't that big, its really the pads. so I silicone them myself, and Gediao did said the stock pads aren't as good. so here's the one with the siliconed one.
self siliconed one definitely plays alot better, tighter binds, no slips, still smooth as usual.
I have to say this is really one of the smoothest yoyo, smooth on the string, smooth during spin, and really vibe-less. you know those super smooth yoyos you play, they're all so smooth on the string and stuff, but, but, but when you just grab it by the string near the catch zone, you can feel the slight vibe? there's none on these, not exaggeration.
yea I know, its from China, and Jazz-Yo's Shield have bad feedbacks online, but I didn't get to even try that, and the Saturn was really fragile, but the Concept, I was given not just one but few of these and I've open up 2 of them, and both of them, tested.
give a reckless throw, seriously, any yoyo could have a double vision, visually vibes, but grab it by the string, do you feel the vibe? many have misuse the term vibe, many especially newer players. feel it in the string.

not that this yoyo is the most vibe-free yoyo I've tried, but I just feel the need to talk about the definition of vibe since we're on the topic.
so yea, this yoyo is pretty much vibe-less.
but one issue I feel turn consumer/players off, is the sound it produce. its similar to a hollow metal yoyo spinning, or something like it.
I tried changing bearings, and the sound still persist. the bearing that I changed to was quiet in another yoyo, so I'm guessing its the yoyo halves? the way its machined or put together? By the way, it comes in two halves, with the aluminum cap already attached to the teflon body, and you can't take them apart. okay, but some local players tried it, and none of them ask or complain to me about the sound it produce, and I was surprise, so maybe it wasn't that bad. and most of them who tried actually like the Concept.
grinds, well, maybe some would want to know about the grind part since the surface where most player grind with is of a teflon body, but to me, the grind wasn't that much of a butter smooth, its some regular grinds. so these are the stuff I feedback to Gediao, and I can't wait to see how the international version will turn out, one thing for sure according to Gediao is, it'll be of better quality, but I think this batch's already pretty good, so i'm not sure of what kind of "better" he have in mind. so like mentioned, this batch is mainly for the Chinese market, if anyone wants one, I only know one shop thats selling them for now, which is from Taiwan, its BuyYoYo.net, otherwise you might want to wait for the international release version that may take some time.

What about the main idea: the teflon inner wall? Does it make any difference in play, reducing string drag friction?
