C3YoyoDesign DarkSonic: Ron Chan talk about "Double V" bump area

"From (h5) to DarkSonic"

We first design (h5) in 2010 summer. The shape of (h5) look common but in 64.5mm diameter, this really need to work with the large surface area when playing in horizontal. So we developed "Double V" bump area try to reduce the contact area between String and Yoyo.

In 2011, I wanna have a better performance in 5A horizontal. I can tell 5A horizontal is pretty different from what we saw in 1A. This is the origin of DarkSonic. DarkSonic make an evolution from (h5) "Double V" bump area. Long spin and designed for horizontal tricks.

DarkSonic will release in 2012.

Similar to Takuto's L4 case where Takuto just want to clarify the new wall system that he came up with was an idea he developed instead of copying anyone's idea. C3YoyoDesign just want to clarify that this new shape, what C3 call a "Double V" bump area, were what they have been experimenting since the making of the (h5), all the way to the new and upcoming DarkSonic.
reason for this clarification is that, because God-Trick's latest pretty hyped up yoyo in China, the Evolution, has a similar shape concept to DarkSonic's. And C3 wants to clarify that the "Double V bump area" is originally created by them.

here's two photos of the God-Trick Evolution, I don't want to post too many of them before we get out of the topic which is about the DarkSonic, I'll post more photos in a separate entry.

and of course, C3YoyoDesign wants to present to you, Ron Chan Kwok San with DarkSonic in Arizona!
