Latest from Dream-Yo, the Fancy, which was being mentioned last year Aug, have reached me for some time now, sorry for the late write up due to school, its a new term. /:
more photos before i move on.
so when i first saw the prototype pictures of the Fancy, it reminds me of the YYF Frantic, but when i got the sample, it reminds me more of the Darkstar from C3, which is one of my personal favorite, however, the Fancy feels more heavy, could just be me though.
this one feels comfortable in the hand for me, not exactly straight cut, there's a slight curve to it.
this comes in beadblasted finish, i guess most of the asian yoyos now comes in beadblasted finish, the Fancy also like any Dream Yo yoyos, comes with a flat bearing, silicone pads, a pretty tight bind, but handles backspins pretty well i think. the pads, as you can see from the photo, are white in the yoyo, and black for the spares, i don't know if its just the color for the fanciness or there's a different feel to it, just texted Alan to check and confirmed that its just the color for fanciness, there is no difference in the material and amount of response. the Fancy have long spins, is stable and rim weighted, when holding, it feels more rim weighted than the Darkstar with weight rings, but the Fancy can be played fast, although its still boils down to control whether you can play fast smoothly, but what i meant was, you probably don't need much technique and control to play this fast, uh, if you get what i mean, the shape and stuff, it doesn't tilted when you attempt to play it fast. handled all tricks i threw at it, sad thing is, my horizontal style still suck at this moment so i can't say whether its good, but i believe so.
as usual, please do come to me if you wanna try this yoyo out, i've been bringing this along to meetings, but i won't be bringing the older samples unless you guys request.
