Plastic Grind Machine 2, why?

when the new PGM replace the old one, most of u guys are wondering, why the change?
some thought the first batch are also "made in China" anyway.
some thought, why stop the production of the stackless PGM...
and some, although a price drop is good for us, but still, they thought, why?
Here's Ben's answer for u.

SY: where are the first batch PGM made in?

YYFBen: 1st batch was made from a prototype mold in the usa. For all new concepts we like to test our concepts in house before going into full production.

why replace customizable weight rings with thicker built in rings?
we have to make every product appeal to as wide an audience as possible. younger children were having difficulty inserting and removing the weights so we felt it would be better to increase the stock weight. for advanced players still looking for some more meat the original weight rings still fit and 1 in each side takes the weight to 67gm.

why discontinue stackless PGMs?
because we have something better coming to take its place.
read YYFCD.com date 17 July 2009.
or just wait for tomorrow.

why the change of manufacturer?
our prototype tooling is only so good as far as fit and finish goes. in full production we can make a much higher quality product at a better price.

and what most players want to know, why the price drop?
Full production cost us less so we passed it on. The Grind Machine was our 1st step into high performance plastic for advanced players. By the end of 2009 we hope to offer at least 3 more yo-yos in that category. It is a good time to be a yo-yo player :)
