China yoyo originals Hicoo and Takuto design have team up with Audley to produce their own yoyos. Both Hicoo and Takuto used to produce their own products, but now Auldey are making the yoyos for them. Auldey was deem as a bootleg company because all their yoyo were similar in most if not all ways to the other yoyo company mainly from US.
but now that they've team up with Hicoo and Takuto to produce original yoyos, should it still be categorize as bootleg?
i wouldn't say they've stop making the old batch of bootelgs(bootleg YYJs, YYFs), but instead of them 'stealing' the designs, its actually not such a bad idea of Hicoo and Takuto to share their design with Auldey. if this can stop Auldey from making more bootlegs, and concentrate more on these, its not such a bad idea afterall.
are Hicoo and Takuto's yoyo gonna be restricted in competition?
its original. but its made by Auldey.
But, Takuto did manage to compete in Worlds2008.
restrict the yoyo, not the company, i guess.
e.g maybe a bootleg YYF, YYJ can't be used. but hicoo design cab be used.
