Superstar photo.
Backstory:
"Mid 2008 YoYoFactory started developing a new yo-yo to meet the demands of new Team signing and US national Champion Kentaro Kimura. The engineering was right, the performance was amazing, but it pushed the limits a step too far. 2 in 10 were perfect, 3 in 10 ok and 5 in 10 awful. The good ones went to team members (and under 20 to the public), the rest were destroyed. The project stagnated, but then the Team started reporting what yo-yos they were choosing to use at the 2008 World yo-yo Contest, and the answer more often than not was Superstar. After Worlds was over there was a Single A World title, 2nd in 3A and 4th in 5A chalked up with a yo-yo that wasn’t in production. This was the inspiration needed to make the project happen! It was shifted to our finest vendor who ordered the finest metals and with the highest skill and precision in the industry SUPERSTAR was green lighted for production with spectacular results.
Every run of 100 pieces will feature unique color/graphics/finish."
