So received an email from Sergey, a representative from Aero-Yo, known to many as the company who rebrand Aoda yoyos, is here to re-introduce Aero-Yo to you guys! i copied and pasted the entire email here.

My name is Sergey Guryev and I represent the AERO-YO company – Russian yo-yo manufacturer and chief sponsor of the Russian Yo-Yo players Association (RYYA)!
Many of those, who’ve never been to Russia think that AERO-YO is just a repacked Chinese yo-yos and that Russia is a country where bears in ushankas drink vodka and play balalaika during long and cold winter nights

AERO-YO is young, but ambitious – the company was established only in 2008, but since the start we’ve achieved such heights that are rarely reached by many – we’ve become the base and support of Russian sport Yo-Yoing.
For all these years AERO-YO’ve never left any yo-yo event in Russia unattended and their amount was steadily increasing – now there are more than 200 events held each year across the whole big country. All regions of the vast territory of Russia hold their own contests, championships and other yo-yo related events and AERO-YO plays leading role in their organization and sponsoring.
AERO-YO is like no other brand concerned about the development of professional yo-yoing. We are partners and official sponsors of the Russian Yo-Yo players Association (RYYA) and everything that RYYA’ve achieved lately would not be possible without the support of the AERO-YO. Both we and RYYA establish yo-yo schools throughout the whole Russia, open the yo-yoing season each year, that is concluded by the major Russian yo-yo event – Russian Yo-Yo Contest (RYYC), we even have our own Russian pro-players team – The AERO-YO Team.
We are not going to stop and always looking for ways to widen our limits: Russian yo-yos have entered the worldwide arena! EYYC’10 and ’11, contests in Poland and Finland – just a small part of foreign Yo-Yo Contests that were supported by the AERO-YO and we’re always open for new ideas and suggestions!
Let’s talk about yo-yo manufacturing – first thing that we did when we started was creating our own professional and signature yo-yos together with world famous yo-yo persons: RB with Igor "Hulio" Galiev (Russian AP champion), Lightning with Sergey Bukanov, Monster with the founder of Russian yo-yoing Sergey "GlavRed" Guryev, AERO-YO Katanas "Signature Edition" by Krisztian Kalusza and the John Higby himself! And that is just the beginning!
To get rid of the information gap and make a step towards the world we’ve decided to go global : )

however to my understanding, the yoyos are still no doubt the same models from Aoda's, or any possible factory that produces the same models in China. so i email Sergey to check things out about their product, and whats the differences? here's the reply!

Aero-Yo was founded in 2008 by Russian Yo-Yo enthusiast and creator of the major yo-yo news portal “the Gyroscope.Ru” Sergey Guryev.Back in those days there were not so much to start from – yo-yoing wasn’t popular in Russia at all and to survive on the market, flooded with imported yoyos the company that had little amount of their own designs had to collaborate with the Giant of yoyo industry in China – The Aoda Toys Industry, notorious for their poor quality bootlegs of many famous yoyos. The only, but huge, difference between Aoda yoyos and Aero-Yo yoyos, although they were produced on the same factory was an outstanding quality control (even now, when the company is successful and is producing their own unique and astonishing designs each metallic hi-end yoyo is tested manually) – Sergey was well aware of the economic situation in Russia and knew that the only way to make yo-yoing popular in Russia was to provide the players with inexpensive, but no less reliable professional yoyos.
That decision proved to be a success – when the hard times of starting-up were over, the company began to support yo-yo playing community in Russia and worldwide by sponsoring and organizing various yo-yo related events and contests, set up their own team of professional players and started to make amazing and unique products on their own and in collaboration with famous yoyo superstars such as Andrey Glukhov (Moscow yo-yo Champion), Igor Galiev (Russian yo-yo Champion in AP division), Sergey Bukanov (AERO-YO Team Member), Krizstian Kaluzsa or John Higby, who designed pogs for the latest run of the famous Aero-Yo “The Katana”.

And they are not joking about Olympics – the yo-yoing can after all be considered sport and every sportsman’s dream is, no doubt, to take part in the Olympic Games. Judging by the contemporary situation with yo-yoing in Russia when more that 100 yo-yo events are held in different regions of the country each year, including Major ones like RYYC (Russian Yo-Yo Contest) and ASYYC (Amateur Spring Yo-Yo Contest) and comparing it to the 2008, when ONE event per year was a huge success – we see that Aero-Yo is really into yo-yoing. They not just sell for profit, but promote, develop and support the Yo-Yoing crowd worldwide.Going back to nowadays - during the last year we deeply focused on developing our own unique models! Actually all yoyos that were released by Aero-Yo this year were designed by Aero-Yo Team. no doubt Aero-Yo have been very active in their local yoyo events, they're really doing a great job at spreading the sport around, and i really hope seeing more original design from them!
